Alexandria
Designed by Tricia Guild and made in Italy by Bisazza, Alexandria is an expressive decorative glass mosaic from the Flora collection. The design presents a painterly garden of oversized blossoms and delicate foliage across layered charcoal, silver-grey and pale backgrounds. Rich violet, blue, pink, green, white and yellow tones give the surface the depth and energy associated with Tricia Guild's celebrated approach to colour, pattern and texture.
Alexandria creates an immersive botanical feature in bathrooms, showers, pools, spas, living areas and hospitality interiors. Its dramatic floral scale can cover an entire wall or be adapted to a selected architectural surface, pairing especially well with velvet, natural stone, metallic detailing and richly coloured furnishings. The decoration is sold by square metre and its colours can be customised through Bisazza's design service.
The pattern combines Vetricolor, Le Gemme and Smalto glass mosaic in the principal colours VTC 10.66, VTC 10.65, VTC 10.33, VTC 10.56, VTC 10.55, VTC 10.32, GM 10.86, SM 10.35, VTC 10.29, VTC 10.27, GM 10.80 and VTC 10.95. It is supplied paper-face mounted, and Bisazza recommends Fillgel Plus 1104 Neutro Base grout. Alexandria is suitable for light-traffic residential interior floors, interior and exterior walls, showers, swimming pools and spas when installed with the specified Bisazza system. It is not suitable for exterior floors.
Alexandria is manufactured in Italy. Individual tesserae measure 10 x 10 mm with an approximate thickness of 4 mm. Standard sheets measure approximately 322 x 322 mm and contain 900 tesserae, with an approximate 0.76 mm joint and weight of around 7 kg/m2. The complete decorative module measures approximately 129 x 291 cm.
Glass mosaic colour, texture and reflectivity change with lighting, water, grout selection and viewing angle. Minor variation between batches and individual tesserae is expected, while photographs and screens are indicative only. Review current physical samples and approved artwork before ordering, and confirm the required adhesive, grout and installation system with Bisazza and a qualified mosaic installer.
