Fluid

Fluid is a watercolour-inspired ceramic wall tile collection characterised by soft tonal movement, delicate surface texture and a subtle hand-painted effect. Its layered appearance introduces depth and variation across tiled surfaces while maintaining a calm and contemporary architectural character.

The selected Grey colourway combines soft mineral greys with warmer taupe-grey undertones and naturally varied areas of lighter and darker pigmentation. Rather than presenting a completely uniform surface, the variation between individual tiles creates a more expressive installation with subtle changes in tone and visual depth.

Fluid draws inspiration from the fluid character of watercolour painting. Delicate shifts in colour and texture give the surface a softly weathered appearance, while the hand-painted effect prevents larger tiled areas from appearing overly repetitive. De Fazio describes the collection as combining soft tones, delicate textures and natural hues to produce its distinctive artistic appearance.

The elongated 60 × 246 mm format gives Fluid the proportions of a contemporary subway tile. The format can be used horizontally or vertically and arranged in stacked, offset and other decorative layouts to alter the direction and rhythm of the finished surface.

Fluid can be coordinated with timber, natural stone, warm neutral finishes, concrete-inspired surfaces, black architectural details and brushed metal fixtures. The restrained grey palette works particularly well in bathrooms and kitchens where subtle surface movement is required without introducing a heavily patterned finish.

Suitable for wall applications, Fluid may be considered for bathrooms, kitchens, splashbacks, powder rooms, laundries and architectural feature walls in residential and selected commercial interiors.

Variation in colour, tone, texture and surface movement may occur between individual tiles and production batches. This variation contributes to Fluid's watercolour-inspired appearance and should be considered when planning the finished installation. Viewing current samples is recommended before final selection.
