Earth

Earth is a Moroccan Zellige-inspired ceramic wall tile collection designed to reproduce the rustic character, subtle imperfections and natural tonal movement associated with traditional handmade tiles. Its distinctive surface combines small imperfections, tiny chips and shade variation between individual pieces, creating an installation with depth and individuality rather than a completely uniform appearance.

The collection is available in four selected colourways. Chalk provides a soft off-white surface with subtle tonal movement, while Terra introduces a warm earthy brown with natural clay-inspired undertones. Ocean moves through atmospheric blue tones ranging from softer blue-grey through to deeper navy shades, while Valley offers a muted green with subtle blue-green undertones.

Earth is available in both gloss and matt finishes. The gloss finish creates a translucent glazed appearance that enhances colour depth and reflected light, while the matt finish introduces a softer patina with a more restrained surface character. Both finishes retain the variation and irregularity that define the collection.

Available in two complementary formats, Earth includes a slim 62 × 250 mm rectangular tile and a 125 × 125 mm square format. The elongated format can be arranged horizontally, vertically, stacked or offset, while the square format creates a more traditional modular appearance.

Earth can be coordinated with timber, natural stone, warm neutral finishes, concrete-inspired surfaces and brushed or aged metal fixtures. Chalk works particularly well in light and restrained interiors, while Terra introduces warmth and natural character. Ocean and Valley can be used to introduce stronger colour and create distinctive architectural feature surfaces.

Suitable for wall applications, Earth may be considered for bathrooms, kitchens, splashbacks, powder rooms, laundries and feature walls in residential and selected commercial interiors.

Variation in colour, shade, glaze, edges and surface appearance should be expected between individual tiles. Small imperfections, tiny chips and tonal differences are intentional characteristics of the Zellige-inspired aesthetic and contribute to the natural appearance of the finished installation. De Fazio specifically identifies these characteristics as inherent to the production of the collection.
