China Birds
Designed by Marco Braga and made in Italy by Bisazza, China Birds is a luxury decorative glass mosaic from the Timeless Collection. Its chinoiserie-inspired composition layers elegant birds, flowering branches and curling foliage into a richly detailed vertical mural. Tiny 10 × 10 mm tesserae give the artwork a finely pixelated, jewel-like surface, while the sophisticated palette of jewel tones with metallic-gold highlights create a dramatic, refined statement.
The complete pattern is supplied as a 1290 × 2910 mm decorative module, making it especially effective as a full-height feature wall or immersive architectural panel. The design can be adapted to suit different surfaces, and Bisazza notes that its colours may be customised on request. In residential and commercial interiors, it pairs particularly well with restrained stone, timber, lacquer and metal finishes that allow the intricate bird-and-floral motif to remain the focal point.
The composition uses the following Bisazza mosaic references: ORO BIS 10.6, ORO BIS 10.4, GM 10.30, VTC 10.50, VTC 10.23, GM 10.59 and VTC 10.61. The mosaic is paper mounted in 322 × 322 mm sheets, with approximately 900 tesserae per sheet and an approximate 0.76 mm joint. Bisazza recommends Fillgel Plus 1104 Neutro Base grout. The 4 mm-thick glass mosaic is not rated for floor installation.
China Birds is suitable for internal feature walls and shower walls when installed with the Bisazza Epoxy Installation Kit. For swimming pools, spas and exterior or continuously humid settings, Bisazza specifies replacing the Oro Bis gold tesserae with Platino mosaic and using the Epoxy Pool Installation System. This decorative mosaic is not suitable for internal or external floors. All substrate preparation, waterproofing, adhesives, grout and installation methods should follow the latest Bisazza technical guidance.
Glass, metallic and handcrafted mosaic components can appear different under changing light, and production batches may show subtle variation in tone, reflectivity and texture.
