Checkmate Black
Checkmate Black is a sophisticated Bisazza glass mosaic design by Carlo Dal Bianco. Alternating ivory-white and deep black tesserae form a softened checkerboard pattern, enriched by the distinctive flamed movement and subtle coppery sparkle of handcrafted glass.
The composition combines SM 50.01 and GM 50.77. Its generous 50 × 50 mm tesserae give the traditional checkerboard motif a contemporary architectural scale, while the varied glass surfaces prevent the monochrome palette from appearing flat or mechanical.
The design is supplied on approximately 310 × 310 mm paper-mounted sheets containing 36 tesserae. It can be adapted to different surface dimensions and its colours can be customised through the Bisazza Design Studio. Checkmate Black is suitable for interior walls, exterior walls installed according to Bisazza requirements, and light-traffic private residential floors. It is not suitable for pools, spas, showers or outdoor floors.
Natural shade, veining and sparkle variations are inherent characteristics of artisan glass mosaic. Review a current physical sample and confirm the final grout, layout and installation system before ordering.
