Calicanto

Calicanto is an Italian-made Bisazza glass mosaic shading blend featuring warm ivory, blush, rose, mauve and deep brown tones. Its 20 × 20 mm bevelled tesserae progress from light to dark across eight coordinated sheets, creating an elegant vertical colour gradient with rich visual movement.

The sophisticated palette is suited to bathrooms, showers, feature walls, living spaces, kitchens and selected commercial interiors. Calicanto may also be used for swimming pools, spas and external walls when installed with the correct Bisazza installation system.

The composition combines Le Gemme GM 20.10, GM 20.20, GM 20.26, GM 20.29, GM 20.51, GM 20.74 and GM 20.97 with Smalto SM 01 and SM 19 and Gloss GL 01. Le Gemme contributes sparkling aventurine and flamed effects, Smalto introduces vibrant artisanal colour, and Gloss adds sophisticated iridescent reflections.

The standard module contains eight 322 × 322 mm paper-face-mounted sheets, with one graduated mixture per sheet from MIX 1 to MIX 8. The complete module measures approximately 322 × 2,588 mm, covers approximately 0.83 m² and has an overall installed height of approximately 259 cm. Each tessera is approximately 4 mm thick, and the recommended grout is Fillgel Plus 6601 Rosa Perla.

Variation in colour, texture, sparkle, iridescence and surface movement is an intentional characteristic of this artisan glass mosaic. Its appearance may change under different lighting conditions or when submerged. Viewing current samples before final selection is recommended. Calicanto is not suitable for external floors or thermal pools, particularly those containing sulphurous water.
