Amalia

Amalia is an Italian-made glass mosaic blend by Bisazza, distinguished by delicate blush pink, ivory and softly iridescent tones accented with genuine gold. Its randomly arranged 20 × 20 mm square tesserae create an elegant decorative surface with a luxurious yet balanced appearance.

The blend combines Oro Bis 20.1, Oro Bis 20.2, Gloss GL 04, Le Gemme GM 20.20 and Vetricolor VTC 20.18 tesserae. The Oro Bis pieces contain genuine 24-carat gold leaf protected between two layers of glass, while the remaining tesserae introduce shimmering, sparkling and lightly textured finishes.

Amalia is suited to luxurious bathrooms, showers, spas, swimming pools, kitchen splashbacks and decorative feature walls. It is suitable for internal walls, external walls and wet areas when installed with the appropriate Bisazza system. For internal floors, Bisazza recommends specifying the dedicated floor version of the Oro Bis tesserae. Amalia is not suitable for external floors.

Each tessera measures 20 × 20 mm with an approximate thickness of 4 mm. The mosaics are supplied on 322 × 322 mm Hotmelt-mounted sheets containing 225 tesserae, with an approximate joint width of 1.57 mm. Each carton contains 10 sheets covering approximately 1.03 m² and weighs approximately 7 kg per square metre. Bisazza recommends Fillgel Plus 6605 Rosa Pesca for appropriate standard installations.

Variations in colour, texture, reflectivity, gold-leaf appearance and tessera arrangement are inherent characteristics of handcrafted decorative glass mosaics. Viewing current samples and confirming the correct installation specification are recommended before final selection. Amalia is not recommended for thermal pools, particularly those containing sulphurous water.
